Affiliated to Shi Kon Martial Arts, an international friendship association of martial artists across Europe, the club was founded in 2006.
The local instructor has been studying Karate for over ten years. He studied directly under Sensei Steve Rowe 8th Dan founder of Shi Kon Martial Arts at the association's Honbu Dojo for five years, gaining first Dan in 2001.
Continuing his studies with Honiton Wado Kai, he achieved 2nd Dan in 2005. He has a level 1 martial arts coaching certificate, has undergone an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and has full professional indemnity cover.
